Well, this is awkward… Clearing out an abandoned custom order after 2 years!

I’m writing this because I honestly just need to vent and share a little behind-the-scenes update with you all.

Two years ago, we took on a custom order for a client, designing a product called the RE96 from scratch. We poured a ton of time, effort, and resources into it.

And then? The client completely ghosted us. This batch has been sitting quietly in our warehouse for two full years. We took care of it and kept it safe the entire time, but the financial hit to our business has been pretty obvious.

Now, the contract period has finally expired, meaning we are legally and commercially in the clear to dispose of or sell the inventory. Since the original client left behind their initial deposit, we’ve decided to take the remaining RE96 units and clear them out at an absolute steal just to recoup some costs and move on.

Let me tell you, running a small business is tough—this is a painful reminder that we need to tighten up our custom orders and never take risks like this again. Lesson learned the hard way!
